Pray for People With Faith and Compassion
Listen, ask boldly, pray in Jesus’ name, expect God to work, and point people toward Him.
The short answer
Listen to the need, ask God boldly in the name of Jesus, and trust His power and goodness. Pray with compassion rather than performance, make no claim God has not made, and give Jesus the glory. Whether the answer is immediate, gradual, or unseen, continue in faith and invite the person toward Christ.

Step by step
1. Look with compassion
Jesus was moved with compassion and acted. Listen to the need and remember that God sees the person more fully than you do.

2. Ask and believe
Ask what the person wants prayer for, then bring it to God with confidence in His character and power. Faith looks to God, not emotional intensity.

3. Pray boldly and simply
Address God, name the need, ask for His intervention, and pray in Jesus’ name. Authority belongs to Christ, not volume or performance.

4. Testify about Jesus
Prayer can open the heart to the gospel. Explain why you pray in Jesus’ name, share what He has done, and offer the good news of His death and resurrection.

5. Persevere without pretending
If you do not see an immediate answer, do not invent one or blame the person. Continue believing, loving, and praying. Faith does not need exaggeration.

- Faith is confidence in God, not a technique.

Common questions
What should I say when praying?
Thank God for the person, name the need, ask for His help in Jesus’ name, and stay focused. Ordinary words offered in faith are enough.
What if my faith feels small?
Bring the faith you have to Jesus. Ask Him to increase it, stand on His word, and obey by praying. The power is God’s.
What if nothing visible happens?
Do not condemn, pretend, or give up on God. Stay honest, continue loving, and trust Him with what you cannot see.
Can I share the gospel afterward?
Yes. Prayer naturally opens a door to explain why you call on Jesus, who He is, what He accomplished, and how the person can respond.
